# A New Navigation Sidebar, A History Page & A Much Faster Gooey
Product Updates August 2026
## Every Page Now Has a Sidebar
The biggest change this month: a navigation sidebar that follows you across the whole of Gooey.AI, replacing the old page wrapper on every route.
It holds your recent and saved workflows, an identity menu with workspace switching, and a collapse toggle that remembers what you chose between sessions. On mobile it becomes an off-canvas drawer, with the user menu and a sign-in link back where you expect them in the header. Logged out, you get a reduced rail with a Google sign-in button right there, so signing in no longer means leaving what you were looking at.
## The Gooey Builder Is Now "Ask Gooey"
Gooey Builder picked up a clearer name and a clearer entry point. You will see "Ask Gooey" in the sidebar and "Edit with AI" where it acts on a workflow, and there is a builder button on recipe pages so you can start a conversation about the workflow you are viewing. It also opens directly from a URL hash, handy for docs and shared links.
## A History Page
There is now a /history page, listed in the sidebar, that gathers your past runs and conversations in one place. It is backed by a dedicated server endpoint rather than assembled page-side, so it loads quickly even when your history is long.
## Filter Explore by Tag
Explore search now takes tags. Narrow to the kind of workflow you are after (translation, chat, image, whatever your team tags with) instead of scrolling the full catalogue, and combine it with text search.
## Conversations That Keep Their Thread
Message threads are now recorded from agent saved runs, so a conversation stays a conversation rather than a pile of unrelated runs. Thread listings filter by the latest run in the thread, admin display is clearer to work with, and ownership checks and conversation fetches were rewritten to stop pulling fields nobody reads. If your bot handles a lot of traffic, this is the month the admin stopped crawling.
## Functions Now Run on Cloudflare Workers
We replaced Deno with Cloudflare Workers as the runtime behind Gooey Functions. Same functions, better cold starts and a runtime that is easier for us to keep current.
## Voice Filtering, Refined
The language filter for TTS providers and voices we shipped last month got its rough edges taken off: a clearer filter label, better alignment in the picker, a guarded Google TTS language lookup when credentials are missing, and no Modal initialization just to list language options.
## Gooey.AI Team Meetup
The Gooey team came together in Bangalore from 3–5 August for a period of collaborative co-working and team building. The gathering provided an opportunity to reflect on the broader implications of AI, including its possibilities, challenges, and impact on society. Alongside brainstorming and discussions about Gooey’s work and future direction, the team spent time together through long walks, a very fun party and great lunches and dinners.
## Founders’ Visit to Kenya
In August, Gooey.AI founders Sean Blagsvedt, Archana Prasad, and Dev Aggarwal travelled to Kenya for conversations with the Mastercard Foundation, and field visits with beneficiary organisations.
The visit aimed to understand what is working effectively, identify existing gaps, and explore how technology can better support Mastercard Foundation’s programme teams and partners in deepening their impact.
## AIJF Session with Allen Shaw
The AI Journalism Fellowship 2026, run in collaboration with [Gooey.AI](http://gooey.ai/), Jaaga and Chambal Media, hosted a session with illustrator and visual storyteller [Allen Shaw](https://www.instagram.com/theolddrifter/?hl=en). Allen shared stories from his work with rural communities and artisans at Kala Raksha, showing how sketching helped him notice the subtle details that often get missed. The session also moved into practice: how close-ups, mid-shots, and long-shots can change what an audience sees and feels; and how to use AI-generated visuals more intentionally.
